About the Author

Bahnmaier is a retired school teacher who serves as President of the Lecompton Historical Society. He plays the part of Sheriff Sam Jones in plays performed by the Lecompton Reenactors and is active in Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area and the MO/KS Border War Network.
