On Dec. 5, 1873, the James-Younger gang robbed the Bryant & Chandler store in the small town of Brosley, Cass County, Missouri, just a few miles from the Kansas border. A party of citizens followed the robbers to Monegaw Springs near Osceola. Alley’s booklet outlines the facts and oral history surrounding this little-known event.

>Mark Alley owns the Frontier Military Museum in Drexel, Missouri which is located just three miles south of where the Brosley robbery occurred. Alley has a deep interest in the James-Younger gang history.
